We recently had an Error 1 code on our unit, which has happened twice. The first time was repaired under warranty, but now the unit is not under warranty. After the plumber removed the pan and let the unit dry out, the error code remained. My wife tried to reset the error message, and now the display reads 'df'. Is there something simple I can do to reset the electronics?

My elderly mother's Samsung dryer (model DV338AEW/XAA) stopped working. It worked fine the day before, but now the power comes on, and the dial or settings do not respond. I have a GE refrigerator (top) / freezer (bottom) with model number XXXXX. The freezer temperature has been gradually warming to the point where all food had to be thrown out, and now both the freezer and refrigerator are at 63 degrees. The compressor is hot, but the fan isn't running, and there is a clicking sound periodically. What should I check and how do I know if the compressor doesn't work? Should I have a tech come look at the control board?
