I left a ballpoint pen in a shirt in the washer and then it was transferred to the dryer, both Maytags. The pen broke and leaked, causing ink to spread all over the inside of the dryer drum. Basic I (from Shakley) did not remove the ink. What can be used to remove the ink without damaging the drum surface?

My washing machine (MOD MHWZ400TQ02) won't drain and shuts down with the door locked after trying to drain for a second. I've replaced the drain pump and checked the drain tube, but the problem persists. The control panel goes dark except for the red 'door locked' light. What could be the issue, and how can I fix it?

My Maytag top-loading washer (model Mvwb766fw1, 1.5 years old) turns on but won't run. It fills with water, drains, and then stops. I've tried unplugging it for 5 minutes, but it still doesn't work. Could it be the lid lock, and is there a way to bypass it?
