I have a Kitchenaid refrigerator KSRP25F. Last night, I discovered both the fridge and freezer were at near room temperature. I unplugged it for a few minutes, restarted it, and heard a click, followed by the compressor starting and running for about 5 seconds, then another click and the compressor stopped. About 5 minutes later, the same compressor cycle repeated. What could be the issue and what steps should I take to diagnose and fix it?

My Samsung top loader washer will run a wash cycle but when it is time for the spin cycle, it displays 'NF' and is full of water but won't spin. When I restart the washer, it drains the water and then refills the drum. I don't have an option for just a spin cycle. It seems to be adding more water than usual, but that may just be due to the weight of wet clothes.
