My Simpson Silensio 971 dishwasher model 52897100 serial 550 57431 stopped working - no lights or switches work. The electric outlet has power, but not the dishwasher. I cannot remember how old the machine is, but it is quite a few years. Is this likely to be something that would be economical to fix, or is it more likely to be more economical to buy a new machine?

My Bosch dishwasher is not functioning correctly. When I start the cycle, the drain pump doesn't turn on as it should, and the dishwasher doesn't fill with water. I can hear something running but it's not the drain pump. Water begins to come out of the standpipe for the lower wash arm, as though the wash pump is running but not at full speed. I've removed the drain pump and verified that it's working. What could be the issue, and what steps should I take to diagnose and fix the problem?

I turned the timer on my washer so that water would start running into it. Later, I smelled something burning, like an electrical burn. When I went back to the washer, the water was in it, but it had not advanced to the wash cycle. I tried another cycle and pushed the knob in, but nothing happened. Can you help?
