My retired greyhound, Cara, has severe arthritis and has stopped eating. My partner is now responsible for both morning and evening care. The vet recommended euthanasia, but we decided to wait until I return. Cara has been given a prescription drug that improved her condition but not her appetite. Should we consider euthanasia, why won't Cara eat, and is it safe to give her aspirin for her arthritis?

I have a dog that overheats very quickly with exercise, even after short periods of activity like agility training. He has even collapsed after minimal exertion on warm days. What can be done to manage this condition and prevent it from happening, other than stopping training with him?

My dog hasn't eaten in over 24 hours, is licking her lips a lot, hasn't drank anything, and has runny eyes and a runny nose. She is a boxer and is also making a gagging-like reflex (similar to a reverse sneeze without the snorting). Any recommendations?

We moved to a new single family home Nov. 30th. Last week, my dog (a 9.5 year old Sheltie) had an accident on the floor that had blood in it. This morning she vomited blood with no food, just liquid and blood. It has snowed since last week so everything is covered up that she could have gotten into. Do you think we need to get her to a vet today (New Year's Day) and what do you think it might be?

My 6-year-old, 15 lb Terrier suddenly developed tenderness in his front legs/shoulders area and started running a fever. He won't drink water and eats very little. He was sprayed by a skunk on Monday night. How do I know if he's running a fever, and what could be causing his symptoms?
