I was told I have mild dysplasia and my gynecologist wants to do a colposcopy. I've never had an abnormal pap in my life. I'm 43 years old. I had an endometrial biopsy a year ago for heavy bleeding and ended up with an endometrial ablation. I've been doing well ever since until my appointment in January. They called me in February and said I needed a colposcopy. My pap result said squamous cells and mild dysplasia. I'm wondering how bad this procedure is since it's done in the office.

What factors can cause a high BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) reading? I recently had a CBC (Complete Blood Count) done in the ER that showed below normal calcium, potassium, sodium levels and elevated lymphocytes. The ethanol showed as 196 mg/dL. I only had approximately 30 oz of beer at 4.5% alcohol content. I weigh 120lbs and am a 47-year-old female. I had not eaten for 8 hours prior and realize this could speed the absorption rate. Based on a BAC calculator, I should have only measured at ~ .04 - .05 at the most. What factors, if any, might skew this reading?

I have been drinking heavily, about 8 drinks every night, for the past 3 months since turning 21. I am concerned about developing Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome or blood clotting disorders. How common are these conditions and do they develop over months or years?
