My boyfriend is on Suboxone, Adderall, Exforge, and Geodon. He has become physically abusive several times and blames me for everything. He also takes steroids and believes everyone wants him sexually and is jealous of him, including me. I admit I get concerned because of the things he says and because he puts me down. What type of person is he? Is he 'sick' or are there more deep-rooted issues? Can he be helped?

I occasionally experience numbness in my hands, and tonight my fingers on my right hand were weak to the point of not feeling comfortable picking up a glass of water, as it could topple over in either direction. This was unsettling. I also noticed occasional word substitution when writing, such as using 'on' instead of 'or'. I am 69 years old, and my mother died at 99 with minor dementia. I am not aware of any Alzheimer's disease in the family, but I am concerned that these may be signs of the beginning of a neurological condition. Can you help direct me to the proper specialist? Do you have any ideas on what might be going on?

My mother has been experiencing severe, clenching liver pain radiating to her back, similar to gallbladder pain but without a gallbladder since 1980. The pain is unresolved by narcotics but somewhat relieved by Xanax. Liver and blood tests are normal, MRI shows nothing, and a scope into the esophagus and liver duct shows no recurrence of duct stones. She has persistent nausea, chills/overheating, weakness, disturbed sleep, confusion, dizziness, itching, increased blood pressure, and has been a non-insulin-dependent diabetic for 10 years. The doctors cannot find the source of her pain since last September. What could be causing her pain and what additional tests or treatments should be considered?
