As an interior designer, I have a contractor working on my client's house who sent me an invoice for subcontractor work without a change order or prior discussion, several months after work completion. The invoice includes charges for work redone due to our error and additional steps claimed by the contractor. I was given an all-inclusive cost initially. I am in Washington state.

In California, does the Supreme Court ruling on what's allowed in Anti-SLAPP motions take away the ability to cross-examine based on hearsay? Specifically, if affidavits are used in Anti-SLAPP hearings, must they be cross-examined if the defendant objects, and is there case law or code to support this?

My daughter was voluntarily admitted to a hospital in Panama City, Florida, for Baker Act suicide watch and was treated poorly, including being placed in the ER hallway for three days instead of a room, despite available rooms. She was not given privacy during therapy sessions and was initially denied access to shower facilities, which were later found to be available. After complaining to the ER director, the hospital director offered $10,000 for the poor treatment. Should we accept the offer or consider suing?

I brought shares on Robinhood.com and now that my shares have gone up, I'm having trouble withdrawing money back into my account. I sold some shares, but the money isn't available to me. I need to know if Robinhood is a scam and how to get my money out when I need to.

We received a notice that one of our dividend checks had not been cashed. The check is dated 2006. Will it still be honored, or should we send it back and request a new one to be issued?
