My husband and I co-signed an auto loan for our granddaughter, but she hasn't been able to pay due to not having a job and issues with drugs. Her mother has been paying the loan and insurance. I stole money in 1991 and served time in prison for that. A debt collector is trying to collect money still owed on that case. The court never came after me. It has been 21 years. Is there a statute of limitations on this in Colorado?

How can I get a relative removed from a Psychiatrist hospital when the treating Dr. tells me I can not until he releases her? She went in willingly and in good physical health, this was supposed to be an evaluation to determine if she has dementia or if there is another type of mental problem. She has been there (Hickory Trails Hospital in Desoto, TX) since April 1, 2013 and is physically deteriorating. The family has not been able to awaken her for the past 3 days, we can only visit for 1 hour per day. At this point, we'd like to get her out of the facility today and take her to Baylor Hospital. Please advise.

I was living with a man in South Carolina. He pursued me for months, asked me to marry him, and convinced me to move from NYC to Charleston. I paid six months' rent in advance for an apartment for us. I caught him cheating and made him leave. He owes me around $5500 for music equipment, rent, gas, and food that I purchased. He agreed he owes this but said he can't pay because he doesn't have the money. His friend told me he received an email from him asking him to lie to me and steal from my apartment. He is now saying it's against the law for me to hold any of his belongings and he's going to call the police. What are my rights?
