I am a guarantor for a business lease in South Carolina, and I would like to clarify a paragraph in the lease that states my liability will not be affected by any insolvency, bankruptcy, reorganization, receivership, or other debtor relief proceedings involving the tenant. If the business fails and I am held personally responsible, could a personal bankruptcy clear or negate my personal debt?

I have a Maryland civil case. I subpoenaed documents from the other side and a witness, but they have not honored the subpoena. The 14 days to object have passed, and they have not responded or produced the documents. We are 7 days out from the court date. What is the next step to make them produce the documents, and how should they respond if an item requested does not exist?

I have created a for-profit entity called Supplier Giving Alliance (SGA) under a corporation in Nevada. SGA's purpose is to facilitate donations from suppliers to a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Can suppliers write checks to SGA, receive a receipt from SGA for the total amount donated, and then SGA transfer the funds to the non-profit, retaining a 20% commission for administrative costs? Is this transaction legal?
