I just moved into an apartment in Tawas City, Michigan, where I discovered live bed bugs despite the manager's assurance that the issue was resolved. I am 8 months pregnant and have been advised by my employer to stay off work until the bed bug issue is resolved and I get clearance from my doctor. I am concerned that this situation might lead to me losing my job. Should I worry, and do I have any legal rights or options?

Can I sue the owner of my apartment if it was flooded due to pipes bursting, causing significant damage to my property and rendering the apartment uninhabitable for 7 days? Additionally, the flood restoration company used my outlets without permission, left the apartment unlocked, and unplugged my security camera. I have also been dealing with mold and rodent issues since moving in, and I have Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer. The apartment had a strong smell of urine when I arrived after the incident, and water was leaking in multiple places. I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and I receive project-based rent assistance. I was also threatened with eviction for not paying rent, despite always paying on time, and I had to fight the eviction in court.
