I live in South Carolina and bought a home with my former girlfriend last December. She asked me to move out in June, and I did without conflict. Now, I want to get my half of the equity and my down payment back. Both our names are on the contract of sale, but only her name is on the bank loan. Can she remove me from the home even though I have done nothing wrong and my name is on the contract of sale?
