We rent a townhouse in PA, where there is an implied Warranty of Habitability. We have a bees nest in the wall, and the landlord has not adequately addressed the issue despite our verbal and written requests. I'm allergic to bees, and there's a high chance my infant will be as well. Can we require the landlord to remove the bees within 30 days or do it ourselves and deduct the cost from the rent? Are they liable for my time off work and medical expenses if I have further incidents requiring hospital visits?

When do you have to disclose evidence in a trial? I have a situation where an estate planner created a power of attorney in my name at my grandfather's request years before I ever met the guy. The estate planner was also the witness to the document. I didn't know it existed until recently, at least this version. The one I signed was effective upon disability, but the one I just came across had a different front page, making it effective immediately. The estate planner replaced the original document with another one with a different witness. I have the original copy of the power of attorney. Do I have to disclose that I have the original copy when I file the petition, or can I wait until he denies doing it before I present it?

I owned a retail location in Evansdale, IA, that sold glass pipes and other items. The city police considered the items drug paraphernalia in 2009, leading to the store's closure. The Iowa Court of Appeals ruled in 2014 that unused glass pipes are not drug paraphernalia. I am considering re-opening a location in Evansdale to sell and manufacture glass pipes, as well as pipes made from other materials. Would the city be able to close my business again? Should I get an attorney on retainer before re-opening? Should I have an attorney contact the city beforehand?
