Two FBI agents came to my door claiming they were canvassing the neighborhood for a criminal investigation involving a neighbor. I didn't see them talk to anyone else and I'm wondering if they were using the 'canvass' as a ruse. Do they lie about such things?

When do you have to disclose evidence in a trial? I have a situation where an estate planner created a power of attorney in my name at my grandfather's request years before I ever met the guy. The estate planner was also the witness to the document. I didn't know it existed until recently, at least this version. The one I signed was effective upon disability, but the one I just came across had a different front page, making it effective immediately. The estate planner replaced the original document with another one with a different witness. I have the original copy of the power of attorney. Do I have to disclose that I have the original copy when I file the petition, or can I wait until he denies doing it before I present it?

My neighbor's tree is on my property line, and some branches are overhanging my side. The tree is sick and dropping leaves, so my husband blows them back onto my neighbor's property. My neighbor is videotaping my husband doing this. We've asked our neighbor to cut down the tree, but he refuses, saying it's not a problem. Is it legal for my neighbor to video my husband, and what can we do about the tree?

My son filed for personal bankruptcy due to the failure of his construction business. A client was wrongfully named as a creditor, and despite efforts to correct this, the client is still involved in the case, claiming fraud. My son has provided evidence to refute these claims, but the judge appears biased. How can we disqualify the judge, and is there a legal doctrine allowing recovery of legal fees if my son wins the case?

I recently went to Family court in Suffolk County, NY to enforce my stipulation as my ex was refusing to pay for our daughter's college costs. I represented myself and the judge ruled in my favor and ordered my ex to make payments. I had also asked the judge for reimbursement of my expenses of flying up to NY, but the magistrate said she was not legally able to make that award. Could I take the judge's ruling to small claims court and try to collect for my out of pocket expenses?
