I had a bonfire and burned some dried leaves and wood. About 20 minutes after the fire was done, I noticed a feeling like something is in my throat. I was drinking cold water, and it felt like something moved around with each sip. I worried that a small piece of burned material might have gotten stuck in my throat without realizing it. I've eaten and drank liquids, and it felt better during that time, but the feeling is present again. Is this something stuck in my throat?

It is unlikely that something got stuck in your throat from the bonfire or from the water you drank....

I had a blood test about a month ago for my diabetes, which showed possible signs of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, but the hematologist found it vague. I have not dealt with leukemia before and do not have symptoms. My blood test data shows elevated lymphocytes and leukocytes. How should I interpret these results, and what further steps should I take?

I have a persistent wet cough for the past seven days that comes and goes. The cough sometimes has blood in the phlegm. I am 51 years old, recently traveled from Canada to New Zealand, and had a cold in Canada. What could be causing this and should I seek medical attention?

I've had a long-standing hand problem since the early 1990s, which has progressively worsened despite various treatments including hand therapy and cortisone injections. I've been checked for carpal tunnel and nerve damage, with normal results. I've also had X-rays and an MRI, both showing normal findings. Despite using compression gloves and thumb stabilizers, I still experience significant pain, especially when not wearing these supports. Is there anything else I could investigate to actually fix the problem, rather than just managing the pain?
