I am 46 years old and have been bleeding after sex for almost 4 months. My Pap smear result is normal, and I don't use any medications. The bleeding is stable and not getting worse. It started after rough sex when I turned 46. I do not suffer from vaginal dryness or pain during sex. My partner has been checked for infections and is clear. What can I do to stop the bleeding during sex?

I've had issues with birth control twice now, both times resulting in prolonged and irregular bleeding. The first time was with Tri-Sprintec, and now with Junel-Fe, I'm experiencing the same problem. The bleeding has been ongoing for 8 days and is irregular. What could be causing this and what can I do to stop the bleeding?

Do I need to be concerned about possible HIV exposure? I work as a CNA at a local hospital and while helping an HIV-positive patient off the bed pan, they grabbed my arm above the glove and got urine and possible vaginal secretions on me. I immediately washed the area with soap and water. My health is good with no issues, and I'm recovering from a viral upper respiratory infection.
