I own a small business in Pennsylvania that sells storage sheds. The sheds are purchased from an out-of-state vendor who constructs them at the customer's home in Pennsylvania. The sheds are considered real property. Am I responsible for submitting the use tax on these, or could the vendor, who is essentially a subcontractor, be responsible since they provide all labor and materials? I rent a condominium from an individual owner and have discovered a plumbing leak causing floor buckling and mold. Despite multiple attempts to contact the owner to fix the issue, nothing has been done. I did not pay my last month's rent in hopes of motivating the owner to address the problem. I am currently renting month to month and am unsure of my legal options. Should I use my rent money to fix the issue and send the bill to the owner? Does the owner have a legal responsibility to provide a safe living environment? What are my options for resolving this situation?

This will be the 3rd court date tomorrow. My son did not get his subpoena or sometimes they do it by phone here in NC. He was living with his girlfriend and I did not see him for a long time due to the charges of assault. The judge threatened me to bring him in court. I recently saw him and I'm scared the judge will ask if I have seen him and sent the message he had a subpoena. I'm scared of contempt. I do not know how to answer without contempt of court. I waived my rights so I have no attorney. Has your son talked to a NC lawyer about this? What steps have they taken so far? Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
